About us:

Novare is Latin for "renewal" or "rebirth."  Renewal is either by choice or by circumstance.  You can choose to renew anytime, for any reason!  I launched Novare because of my love for fitness and the great satisfaction I get from helping people achieve their goals in a friendly, helpful atmosphere.  I wanted to do something different for those of us looking for a new approach to group fitness:  a fitness program where we know your name, we care about you as a person, and you can have input to the classes you want.  Classes are designed to be safe, fun, and motivational for veteran cardio junkies and beginners alike.

This concept gave birth to my ActvFit!™ group exercise program.  My goal is to help you transform body, mind, and spirit to renew and build a better you, while developing life-long friendships. 


Our experienced instructors (We hire only the very best!), state-of-the-art fitness equipment, and can-do attitude are only a few of the things that make Novare Fitness™ so unique. We all share a common goal of making fitness a truly inspiring adventure.

We offer 3-month memberships or a punch card system (which will not require a monthly commitment), and will allow you to attend classes as your schedule allows. As you will see by the pricing plan, however, those who attend frequently will get the most value, both financially and from a fitness perspective.

Get Personal Training Evan Branin!

Evan, NCCA accredited American Council on Exercise Certified Personal Trainer,  offers one on one and group personal training.

He also offers online training and nutritional support.

Novare Fitness was created by dedicated class participants and a determined fitness instructor, Katrina Thompson. Now, a year later the partnership with Gymnastics of York and Donna Newcomer has strengthened Novare Fitness!!!

Katrina and Norm Thompson, creators and owners, have joined fitness forces with Chris Aldous, owner of Gymnastics of York, and personal trainer & fitness instructor, Donna Newcomer. We offer classes 7 days a week along with fitness adventures in the local parks, on the rail trail and we team together to participate in local fitness events.
